I thought I’d look at bridal purses/bags and what the deal is – should you have one?
If you’re anything like I was when I got married, you won’t want to spoil your look with a bag, and you don’t want to be worrying about something dangling off your arm when you’re got your gorgeous bouquet to carry and your new husband to be clutching.
Trouble is, what do you do with all those bits and pieces you’re going to need like your lipstick, tissues, headache pills etc.
You could do what I did and ask one of your bridesmaids to look after them, if they are carrying bags. This means of course that you need to track her down at the reception when you need a touch-up.
If you’re changing into an evening dress for the reception you could definitely go with a matching evening bag.
The Wise Bride does offer one product which is a great solution – a pocket garter. Wear it on your leg under your dress and provided that your dress isn’t too slim-fitting, no-one will be any the wiser.
I don’t think I’d recommend putting your mobile into it however. Provided your mobile fits, the weight of it would probably slide the garter down your leg!
