I’ve come across a great website in the US called ‘Project Wedding’ which is a fantastic resource for brides and grooms-to-be, with vendor reviews, real weddings, how-to guides (for items that couples have made themselves) and interesting forums.
I thought I’d share with you some ideas for your ‘something blue’ from one of the forums which I think are particularly gorgeous.
Getting your wedding party to sign the bottom of your shoes in blue is a very simple and very unique idea. One of the girls in the forum writes that apparently it is a Greek tradition to write the names of your bridesmaids on the bottom of your shoes – the name that is left after dancing all night is the girl who will get married next.
Another very cute idea is to stick blue rhinestone initials (first name initial of you and the groom) onto the bottom of your shoes.
I can’t seem to find anywhere that stocks blue rhinestone adhesive letters, but most craft and scrapbooking shops sell adhesive blue rhinestones, so it’s a matter of making the initials yourself which shouldn’t be too hard. Draw them in lightly first using a pencil and then stick them on.
