Free wedding websites

Hello! Lucky's Chandelier design at mywedding.com

Wedding websites are a great way to keep your family and friends updated with your wedding details, so I thought I’d have a look at some of the free wedding websites available and compare their features (I’m not affiliated with any of these sites).

In Australia i-do.com.au has a range of great free features as well as a wedding website including a wedding scrapbook for ideas and suppliers, personal planner and budget.  A free website is available when you make i-do.com.au your homepage.

In the US Wedding Wire has a lovely range of designer themes and the features include a unique URL, unlimited pages and standard pages that include a calendar of events, registry and more.  Below is the featured ‘destination’ theme.

Project Wedding has a stunning range of designer themes and the features include unlimited photos, guestbook and maps.

www.momentville.com has 100 themes to choose from and they’re all free.  The features include managing invitations and RSVPs, unlimited pages, ad free, guest books, guest uploads, slideshows and videos and no expiry date.  For a one-off fee of $39.95 you can get a premium site which includes music, increased storage, password protection and a downloadable keepsake.  Below is the ‘damask’ theme in berry smoothie.

mywedding.com has some stunning designs with music, guestbook, managing RSVPs, online gift registry and group emails.  A great idea is that all websites have matching stationery designs from some well-known US designers including Wedding Paper Divas, Papeterie and Hello! Lucky.  Check out the beautiful ‘Butterfly Love’ design from Wedding Paper Divas.

  1. This is a great list! Another site I used for my wedding is myregistry.com. This site lets you make one registry with anything you want on it so you don’t have to limit yourself to just 2 or 3 stores. It also lets you register for cash gifts, so we used ours for a honeymoon fund. Another good free idea (even though it’s not a website) is to attend as many bridal shows as possible. They usually hand out a lot of free swag and it gives you some good ideas!
