Vintage printable labels

I couldn’t resist sharing these gorgeous printable labels I found on Miss Cutiepie’s blog which can be downloaded for free.  I think they’d make great decorations for favour packaging and would look lovely on little jars or cellophane bags.

Summer beach themed favours

It’s a scorcher here in South Australia today.  I’m sitting in 36C heat dreaming of the beach and in particular, the beach in the evening.  There’s nothing more romantic than a warm summer’s evening, the sun setting over the beach and the waves gently lapping the shore.  Combine this with a gorgeous wedding and elegant reception and you have a perfect summer wedding!

So I thought I’d have a look at some of The Wise Bride’s beach themed bomboniere and accessories that I feel really capture the essence of beach weddings.

When I think of beach weddings I think of the colours of aqua and white, and the texture of seashells, bamboo, frangipani and romantic candles.

Kate Aspen’s seashell placecard holders are perfect for a casual beach wedding.  Made of real shells they cost $14.85 for a set of 6 and will perfectly complement the tables of any beach celebration.

These sweet little chair tealight holders have a gorgeous beach feel with their net and seashell decoration – a lovely way to light up your tables.  They cost $20.75 for a packet of 4.

Another gorgeous way to light up your wedding reception is with these pretty wedding luminaries, complete with dove cutout.  They cost $15.55 for a packet of 12.

Made of natural bamboo, Kate Aspen’s coasters are eco-friendly as well as fitting with a beach theme.  $3.95 for a set of 4 they make a lovely and practical gift for guests.

And finally, starfish stickers are the perfect way to finish off plain boxes.  Costing 0.70c each these stickers can be personalised with your name and wedding date.

Simple vintage bomboniere idea

A short and sweet post today, I just want to share a very simple and effective bomboniere idea from Claire and Christopher who were married on 22 May this year in Queensland.

They purchased strawberry and vanilla Jelly Belly beans and ivory lace bags from The Wise Bride to create elegant gifts with a vintage feel – Claire says that the jelly beans were delicious and they received lots of compliments from their guests on how wonderful they looked and how good they tasted…

Ikea jars for bomboniere

I came across these great jars at Ikea on my last visit and I think they are just perfect for bomboniere (in fact I’ve already recommended them to a client and she’s purchased 80 of them!).

They are called ‘Ratjan’ spice jars and come in a packet of 4 costing around $5 for the set.  The lid is plastic with a silver finish and screws on.  They measure 8cm high and 6cm wide and hold around 50 pieces of loveheart rock candy (I haven’t filled them with other sweets yet).

I added some ribbon and some of The Wise Bride’s personalised stickers (which fit perfectly on the lid) and I think they look gorgeous – see what you think…

Sex and the City inspired gifts

I’m off to see Sex and the City II on Friday – I can’t wait to see the girls and what they get up to, their clothes, and of course, their shoes…

So I thought I’d celebrate all things glitzy and glamorous with some girly favours and accessories from Kate Aspen – enjoy!

Vintage inspired boxes from hiPP

I am SO excited by hiPP’s new range of vintage inspired boxes and bags I just had to post, even though I don’t have images of all the products and they’re not on the site yet.

The range is called ‘La Belle’ and is printed with a beautiful textured canvas look and ink drawings of flowers and butterflies.  I have a couple of box samples here and they’re so lovely, I can’t wait to get them on the site.

This is the gift bag which has a black satin handle and a gorgeous oval gift tag tied to the front with a bow –

It’s probably a bit big for bomboniere, but would be perfect for small bridesmaid’s gifts.

The stationery range is equally beautiful, with notecards (with matching envelopes) –

Invitation kits (with envelopes and magnets) –And thank you cards –Wouldn’t they be just perfect for a kitchen tea, engagement or casual wedding?

Hopefully I’ll have pics of the boxes on the website in the next week or so, I think everyone will love them as much as I do.

New Kate Aspen DIY kits

It’s been a while since I last updated the blog, things have been pretty crazy since January with the wedding season in full swing, a small re-design of the website,  and lots of new Kate Aspen and Weddingstar products to add to the site.  Plus I’m going to have a stand at The Observatory Function Centre’s open day/expo on 21 March – more about that to come – but it’s keeping me very busy.

Anyhow, I thought I’d have a look at some of Kate Aspen’s gorgeous new products, a range of DIY favour kits.  The designs are so stylish and the best thing is that they can be personalised with stickers with your names and wedding date.

All kits cost $45.00 for 24 and that includes the box, patterned sleeve, ribbon and sticker so they’re fantastic value as you just need to buy the contents.

The designs are gorgeous, this is the chocolate and turquoise damask:

The ‘sage fields’ design:

And a couple of designs not yet on The Wise Bride’s site:

‘Hot pink honeycomb’:

‘Cherry blossoms’

Such a cost-effective, elegant option and these designs are sure to suit lots of wedding themes.  It’s always a pleasure to present Kate Aspen’s range!
